I developed a profile for the City of Whittier to help support analysis and discussion for the Waterfront Development Plan. The profile included a socioeconomic overview of the community, reviewed rates and revenues specific to waterfront facilities and properties, and provided data on the level of activity in key waterfront industries (tourism, commercial fishing, and cargo/transportation) and the city’s and other organizations’ waterfront facilities. The profile concluded by presenting opportunities, challenges, and trends to help guide discussion about the plan. This work took place in 2024–2025.
