The site exists to give back to an industry that defined a substantial part of my professional career.

The work here reflects a sampling of my career spent helping communities understand the economic value of their waterfronts, setting rates, and making decisions in the face of uncertainty, competing priorities, and limited resources. Tools and presentations on this site have been used by harbormasters, port administrators, municipal staff, and policymakers across Alaska.
