The Port of Bethel’s dock was in need of replacement. The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate replacement and maintenance of port infrastructure, including cargo, fuel, and storage facilities, based on projected population in the region and the potential for use of Bethel to support development and operations of a mine at Donlin Creek. This work took place in 2007, 2009–2010.
