We evaluated the feasibility of improvements at Port Clarence to support activity in Bering Strait and the Arctic, including oil and gas activity in the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas, cargo transits through Bering Strait, and other potential users. The work included identification of users, estimation of demand for facilities and services, financial evaluation, and consideration of regional benefits. This work took place in 2013–2014.
