The model was designed to estimate the economic impact of harbors at the community, borough, and state levels, and is based in Microsoft Excel with extensive Visual Basic for Applications code. The work included survey data collection, user interface design, programming, and report and user manual preparation. The model is available on this website. This work took place in 2003–2004.
