The HarborModel.com site is run by Mike Fisher, an experienced consultant with more than two decades of providing economic, financial, and planning-related services to ports and harbors across Alaska, and beyond. He holds graduate degrees in business administration and project management, as well as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Mike has worked on a wide variety of projects, leading a transportation economics practice in addition to business planning, feasibility studies, and other services. He has given several presentations during his 2+ decade career, available on the Presentations and White Papers page, and taught graduate courses in Operations Research, Cost Estimating, and Project Cost Management as well as guest lectures on Project Risk Management and selected topics for PMP certification prep courses. Mike also published a textbook, currently in its second edition, for use in his Cost Estimating course.
