Cordova Harbor Rebuild (Phase 2) Benefit-Cost Analysis for PIDP Grant

Client: City of Cordova

Location: Cordova, AK

Year: 2022

Role: Project Manager

I completed a benefit-cost analysis and a colleague conducted community interviews in support of the City of Cordova’s application for a 2022 PIDP grant for improvements to its harbor, including north and south sheet pile bulkheads, floating fuel dock, walking path connecting the North and South Harbors, three-stage dock repairs, additional launch ramp, net mending float, electrical meters in North Harbor, and T-dock cranes and shore power. Starting with the successful benefit-cost analysis we prepared in 2021, this work was a major rewrite to focus the analysis on industry and cargo-specific aspects that are important to the PIDP grant program. Our client praised our insights and contributions to the work under a tight timeline. This work took place in 2022.
