We developed a user-friendly spreadsheet model for planning the allocation of vessel slip sizes in the planning process for the proposed Little South America harbor. The model provided the user with estimates of the revenues generated and capital cost of various designs based on rough order of magnitude costs and estimates of the space required to accommodate vessels of various sizes. This work took place in 2005–2006.
